A Canadian duo that started as a full band and kept writing songs through lineup changes and a long break.
For a sense of their sound, 'Everytime I Think Of You' and 'Closer To Heaven' are good places to start. They're straightforward, guitar-driven songs from a band that just kept making them.
They were a Vancouver alternative rock band in the early 2000s, originally called The Feelers. Their 2003 album 'Surfacing' had the single 'That Girl' that got some attention in Canada and Australia. Songs like 'Everytime I Think Of You' and 'Closer To Heaven' show the kind of melodic rock they stuck with.
They started as a full band and put out their debut 'If You Don't Like It.' in 2000. After bassist Kenton Loewen left in 2004, Sam Roberts and Dave Nugent kept going as a duo, releasing albums like 'Ugly in the Morning' in 2005 and a self-titled one in 2008. They took a break around 2010, then came back together to put out 'Stars' in 2015.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
