Follow Dreams formed in Porto Alegre, Brazil in the early 2000s with Théo Jerez on vocals and guitar, Thiago Nichele on bass, and Lucas Piccinini on drums. They released their debut album 'Incertezas do Destino' in 2007, which gave the band its first real national attention.
That title track 'Incertezas do Destino' and another song called 'Inexplicável Razão' became their most recognizable work. The music had an introspective quality that connected with listeners, built around Jerez's lyrics and the band's straightforward melodic approach.
They kept recording and playing shows, and their sound gradually incorporated some folk and pop elements while staying grounded in that initial style. In 2015, some internal tensions surfaced publicly after a private recording was leaked, but the group continued working together afterward.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
