Adelmario Coelho, known as Capilé, has been the band's lead singer and driving force. Their first album, 'Força Viva,' came out in 1983. They followed it with records like 'Vale do Dendê' in 1986 and 'Jah Livre' in 1993.
One of their best-known songs is 'Bom Fazendeiro de Deus,' written by Capilé in 1983. It became an anthem celebrating the resilience and spirituality of Afro-Brazilian communities.
