Foreign Affairs was an American rock band that formed in New York City in 1981. The original lineup included singer Lou Gramm, guitarist Mick Jones, bassist Rick Wills, keyboardist Ian Hunter, and drummer Dennis Elliott.
Their self-titled debut album came out in 1982 and included the single "Rosanna," which became a major hit. The song was written by Jones and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
Gramm left the band in 1987 to work on solo projects, leaving Jones as the only original member still involved. The group went through various lineup changes after that point.
