Forró das Feras formed in Recife in the early 1990s, with Wellington Muniz on vocals. Their sound mixed forró with pop and funk elements, which didn't sit well with some traditionalists at the time. The band kept at it, and by 1998 they had a breakthrough with the album 'Tempo Perdido'. That title track became a hit and got them wider attention across Brazil.
They put out several albums after that, like 'Vivendo e Aprendendo' in 2000 and 'No Balanço do Forró' in 2003. The group's lineup included Edinho on accordion, Cristiano on triangle, and Pantico on bass alongside Muniz. They worked with other Brazilian artists too, including Elba Ramalho and Alceu Valença.
Songs like 'Você Em Mim' show their style, which stayed energetic even as they touched on social themes in some lyrics. They were active through the 2000s, releasing 'Na Veia da Emoção' in 2009.
