Forró do Zig formed in Fortaleza in 2004. Their debut album 'Acabou' came out the following year and helped establish them as a Brazilian forró band. They've put out several albums since, including 'A Vida É pra Viver' in 2007 and 'Pra Cima' in 2013.
Their songs like 'Linda Flor' and 'Eu Quero o Seu Amor' show their approach to the genre. The group includes vocalist Zezé di Camargo, bassist and vocalist Luciano Camargo, and accordionist Juliano do Acordeon.
In 2009, the band faced plagiarism accusations that temporarily halted their performances. They worked through that period and kept recording.
