Their 2009 song "Zé Goré" became a viral hit and sparked debate with its explicit lyrics about a sexual encounter involving a marginalized woman. The band often addressed social issues like inequality and poverty in their music, which earned them both praise and criticism.
They released several albums including their self-titled debut in 2007, followed by "Zé Goré" in 2009, "Festa no Arraiá" in 2012, and "Baile do Zé Goré" in 2015. Other songs in their catalog include "Dificil Demais," "Me Diga Logo o Que Será," and "Rebelde."
Forró Medonho won the Troféu Caymmi for Best Forró Group in 2011. Their live shows were known for high energy, particularly from frontman Fábio Buarque.
