They began performing at local festivals and bars, then released their debut album in 1996. The band faced some criticism from traditionalists who weren't sure about their approach to forró, but they kept going.
Their 1999 album 'Forró Mozão Ainda' became a major hit in Brazil. The title track, along with songs like 'Meu Investimento,' helped define their sound. They've recorded other albums including 'Pra Você Dançar,' 'Ao Vivo em Fortaleza,' and 'Nossa História.'
Iverson de Caires plays accordion and handles vocals and musical direction, while José Ivanildo dos Santos (known as Galo) sings and writes songs. Francisco de Assis (Chico) rounds out the core trio. Their lineup has changed some over time, but these three have remained at the center of the band.
