Forró Tentação formed in Fortaleza, Ceará, and built their sound around the traditional forró rhythms of Brazil's Northeast. Their song 'Bota Pra Tora' became a dance floor staple, and other tracks like 'Alô Mulherada' and 'Fui Fiel' followed a similar path of catchy, upbeat arrangements.
Washington Brasil handles lead vocals and songwriting, with Ney Brasil on rhythm guitar, Cris Mello on accordion, Diogo Granjeiro on bass, and Neto Leite on drums. They released several live albums, including 'Forró Tentação Ao Vivo' in 2003 and 'Ao Vivo em Fortaleza' in 2010.
Their approach to forró drew some criticism from traditionalists, but it also found a wide audience.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
