Forró Tornado formed in 1997 in Fortaleza, Ceará. The band includes Bruno Cesar on vocals, Edson Lima on accordion, Tico Tico on bass, and Jesus Santos on percussion. They released their first album in 1998.
Their 2005 song 'Só Presta Assim' drew some criticism for its lyrics about infidelity, but it became a commercial success. The track appears on their album of the same name from that year.
They've put out several other records, including 'Me Leva' in 2006 and a live album in 2007. Their music blends traditional forró rhythms with more contemporary sounds.
