Forró Tudo Novo

Forró Tudo Novo came together in Fortaleza, Ceará, where a group of friends started playing the traditional dance music of their region in local bars and clubs. They were working with the basic forró setup of accordion, zabumba drum, and triangle, but they approached it with a younger energy that caught on.

In 2014, their debut album "Agora Você Tá Livre" gave them a national hit with the title track. That song, along with others like "É Pisadinha" and "Vem Com Tudo Novo," helped define their sound, a version of forró that felt current and drew some criticism from traditionalists while finding a wide audience.

The band's core members include vocalist Gleison Túlio, accordionist Nailson Lima, zabumba player Washington Filho, and triangle player Jeferson Costa. They've worked with other Brazilian artists like Ivete Sangalo and Wesley Safadão, but their recordings have mostly stayed focused on their own material, keeping that dance-floor rhythm at the center.
