Forró Voyage formed in 2007 with four musicians from Bahia: Mário Reis on vocals and accordion, Edu Guimarães on zabumba, Fred Pacheco on triangle, and Robinho Bastos on percussion. They started playing together with a shared interest in traditional Northeastern Brazilian music.
Their first album came out in 2010, simply called 'Forró Voyage.' It included 'Balada Boa,' which became their most recognizable song. They've put out a few more albums since then, with tracks like 'Minha Mãe' and 'Posição do Grilo' in their catalog.
