Their song "Seu Polícia" came out in 1990 and became their breakthrough. The band kept performing it anyway.
José Marcolino sang lead and wrote many of their lyrics, while Targino Gondim played accordion and Ednaldo do Banjo handled banjo duties. Their sound stayed rooted in forró's accordion-driven rhythms rather than chasing contemporary trends.
