Fortuna

Fortuna is an ensemble that formed in the early 2000s around classically trained musicians interested in medieval and Renaissance music. They're led by vocalist Sienna Celeste, whose voice gives their recordings a particular character. Their debut album was called 'Echoes of Eden.'

Their song 'Rorate Caeli' is probably their best-known piece, along with 'Shalom Aleichem' and 'Mode Ani.' The music draws on religious themes and older musical forms, which has sometimes drawn both appreciation and skepticism from listeners.
