FoZZtone

FoZZtone formed in Tokyo in 1988 with Fumihiko Kitahara on vocals and guitar, Hirotaka Hakamada on bass, and Ichiro Takeuchi on drums. They spent their early years playing small clubs, developing a sound that mixed rock and blues with Japanese traditional music.

Their 1993 debut album included "Baby Call Me Now," which became their breakout track. The song's success led to tours across Asia, Europe, and the United States, where their live shows were known for their energy.

After that initial breakthrough, they kept recording albums that shifted between raw rock and more experimental directions, though they never quite reached the same level of mainstream attention again.
