Francisco Victoria formed in Guadalajara in 2005 around vocalist Miguel Ángel Barrera and guitarist Juan Fernando Morán. They worked through early funding issues before releasing their debut album in 2009, which took its name from the track "Cruza el Puente." That song became their breakthrough, pulling together traditional Mexican sounds with pop and rock arrangements.
After that first album, they put out several more records including "Sueño de Amor" in 2011, "La Vida Es Bella" in 2014, and "Amor a Primera Vista" in 2017. Another song people know is "Tírame al Fondo del Mar." They've worked with other artists like Belinda and Leonel García along the way.
In 2015, they faced some criticism over a music video that showed a same-sex couple, but they kept the video up. The band has also used their position to talk about social issues at times.
