Franco formed in Niterói in 1996, with Franco Faria on vocals and guitar, Rodrigo Tavares on guitar, Leandro Lacerda on bass, and Ivan Corrêa on drums. Their debut album 'Não Dá Pra Esperar' came out in 2003, and the title track became a hit in Brazil.
In 2007 they released 'Mudanças' after some legal trouble with a former label. They've put out five albums total, including 'Outro Lugar' in 2011, 'Amanhã' in 2015, and 'O Mundo' in 2020. Other songs people know include 'Não Me Ligue Mais' and 'Te Quiero Ver'.
The band has kept the same four members since they started. They play a mix of samba, pop, and rock.
