Frank e Forasteiro

Frank e Forasteiro formed in Rio de Janeiro in the late 1980s around vocalist Frank Aguiar. Their track '8 Segundos' became a Brazilian anthem, capturing the adrenaline of rodeo bull riding with its driving rhythm. The song's straightforward appeal connected with listeners who weren't necessarily country music purists.

The band's core lineup included Robson Almeida on guitar, Renato Andrade on bass, and Bruno Bastos on drums. Their sound pulled from sertanejo traditions but didn't stay strictly within them, incorporating rock elements and other influences over time. Songs like 'Dona da Sedução' and 'Então Trais' showed their range within that approach.
