Time keeps speeding but I’m left behind

I know you’d tell me I was ok

I’ve been thinking about

The greatest man that ever lived was born November 5th

He taught me everything I know, he proved to me that gods exist

The greatest man that ever lived, he had the same first name as my dad and myself and I hate that I hated it, but now all I know is I’ll never live up to it

I couldn’t miss him any more than I do right now

The greatest man that ever lived, he died September 6th

He left a void inside my world and I’ve felt so lost ever since

The greatest man that ever lived was more than my best friend

He was my hero, I basked in his shadow

The words that he said to me were everything, everything

I think about you all the time

I curse the heavens that took you away
