In the early 2000s, he put together a band under his name. Their big break came in 2005 with 'Eu Te Amo Meu Amor,' a love ballad that caught on quickly and topped the charts. Other songs like 'Eu Canto Porque Sou Apaixonado' and 'Quero Dormir Em Teus Braços' followed.
There was some noise around the band in 2007 when someone claimed 'Eu Te Amo Meu Amor' was plagiarized, but the case didn't stick. They kept putting out music after that.
