Sexta Feira Muito Louca, sometimes called Freaky Friday, was a Brazilian alternative rock band active in the 1990s. They formed in 1995 in Porto Alegre and were led by vocalist Ivan Lessa. Their music mixed rock with Brazilian rhythms, and they released three albums between 1997 and 2001, starting with 'Pedindo Para Apontar'.
Their debut album included the song 'Take Me Away,' which became a breakout hit for them. Other tracks like 'Tomorrow Is a New Day' and 'Me Vs. The World' show up in their catalog. The band developed a cult following in their hometown through energetic live shows.
Ivan Lessa's lyrics and stage presence sometimes drew criticism. The group went through several lineup changes over their six years together, with members including guitarist Marcus Vinícius, bassist Alexandre 'Xande' Meireles, and drummer Fábio 'Fabão' Berger. They stopped releasing music after 2001.
