Archive material and source history
Fred Buscaglione was born in Turin in 1921. His father was a musician, and that early exposure to music led him to form his first band as a teenager, the Fred Buscaglione Sextet.
In the mid-1950s, he worked with lyricist and composer Leo Chiosso on songs like "Buona Sera Signorina." Another of his well-known recordings from that period is "Guarda Che Luna," which came out in 1956.
His style mixed jazz and swing with Italian popular music. Beyond "Guarda Che Luna," his catalog includes songs like "Tu Che Ne Dici" and "Una Sigaretta."
