Free 2 Night came together in London around the early 2000s, with Jade Gray on lead vocals, Dan White on guitar, Sam Bull on bass, and Matt Taylor on drums. Their first single "Music In Your Mind" got some attention when it came out, and they followed it with another track called "Stay The Same." They played a mix of pop and rock with some dance elements, and Gray's voice was usually at the front of it.
In 2008, there was some talk about plagiarism that didn't help their reputation, but they kept playing shows and putting out music.
