Archive material and source history
Frequência Zero formed in Brazil around 1976, with guitarist and vocalist Antônio Carlos Jobim Jr. and drummer Ivan Lins. They worked with a mix of rock, jazz, and samba, which didn't always fit neatly into what was expected from Brazilian music at the time. Their song 'Sultains Of Swing' appeared on their self-titled debut album in 1977 and became their most recognized track.
They also had another song called 'Admirador'. The band's approach was more about following their own musical interests than fitting into a specific scene or sound.
