Background notes

Archive material and source history

Fresh Air formed in Los Angeles in the late 1970s with David Benoit on keyboards, Marc Russo on saxophone, Nathan East on bass, and Gregg Bissonette on drums. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1982 and included the track 'Making Love (Out Of Nothing At All).' They put out several more records through the 1980s and early 1990s, like 'Love Walked In' in 1984 and 'Walk Through the Fire' two years later.

Marc Russo left the group in 1995. The band had faced some questions about their live setup around that time.
