Fron Line Assembly

Front Line Assembly formed in Vancouver in 1986 around Rhys Fulber and Bill Leeb. Their early work, like the 1987 debut 'The Initial Command,' set up a mix of industrial rhythms and ambient textures that would define much of their output. They kept at it through lineup changes, with Fulber leaving in 1997 and Leeb staying on as the consistent presence.

Their 1992 album 'Tactical Neural Implant' included the track 'Body Count,' which drew some criticism at the time for its themes. The band maintained it was more about reflection than glorification. They've put out over twenty studio albums, with titles like 'Caustic Grip,' 'Millennium,' and 'Implode' marking different phases.

Their music has appeared in films like 'The Matrix' and shows like 'CSI: Miami,' and they've worked with artists including Gary Numan. A song like 'Leveled' shows their continued focus on that layered, electronic sound.
