Fukpig

Fukpig came out of Tokyo's underground with a sound that was hard to categorize. Fronted by vocalist Riko, their music dealt plainly with themes of suffering and addiction.

In 2009 they released the album 'A Life of a Family's Angels.' The title track became something of an anthem for them, a ballad about broken family promises. That record marked a shift toward a more melodic sound while keeping their raw edge. Other songs from that period include 'A Matrix Made Of Shit' and 'Alcohol And Necropunk.'

The band's core lineup was Riko on vocals, Takuya on guitar, and Kenta on drums. They worked with outside artists like noise musician Merzbow and composer Keiji Haino, which pushed their sound into more experimental territory.
