Their 1995 album 'Festa Todo Dia' changed that, with the title track becoming a national hit that captured a certain party energy.
That song 'Festa Todo Dia' and another track called 'Docemania' helped define what people came to call axé pop. The band's lineup shifted some over time, with keyboardist João Neto joining in 1996 and guitarist Robertinho Azevedo replacing Ivan Cruz in 2005. They kept releasing albums through the 2000s and 2010s, with titles like 'Axé Pop' and 'Somos Axé' that reflected their place in that scene.
