A São Paulo band that started with protest anthems and later turned toward personal songs.
For their protest side, "Pra Todo Mundo Ouvir" says it all. If you want the later, more personal turn, try "Andando Contra o Tempo."
They came out of São Paulo in 1989 with a sound that pulled from punk and hardcore but never lost its Brazilian feel. Their 1993 album gave them "Pra Todo Mundo Ouvir," a political anthem that stuck. Later tracks like "Andando Contra o Tempo" show them shifting into more personal territory without losing their edge.
They formed in 1989 with Gastão Moreira on vocals, Ricardo Marin on guitar, Leo Kriger on bass, and Ricardo "Rick" Silva on drums. Albums like "F.U.S.C.A." in 1991 and "Rompendo as Correntes" in 1995 built their early sound, while a 2000 live recording, "Ao Vivo no Circo Voador," captured them in action.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
