Gabriel Herrera is a Mexican singer-songwriter who had a hit with "Amor de Coca Cola" in 1983. That song, along with tracks like "Amor Nota 1000" and "Uma Noite de Amor," helped establish his presence in Latin music during the 1980s.
He grew up around music, with his father being a musician who exposed him to traditional Mexican styles. Herrera's work also incorporated elements of pop and norteño.
In the early 1990s, he faced a lawsuit from the Coca-Cola Company over the unauthorized use of their brand name in his song title. He released several albums including "Eterno Enamorado" in 1988 and "Alma Desnuda" in 2006.
