Gabriel Rezende is a singer-songwriter from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He started playing open mics and local shows in the mid-2000s, releasing his debut EP 'Horizonte' in 2007. His music draws from bossa nova, samba, and rock.
His 2013 album 'Sobreviver' includes the song of the same name, which became something of an anthem for people dealing with difficult times. Other tracks like 'Firme Permanece' and 'Somente a Ti' appear among his most popular work.
Rezende has worked with other Brazilian musicians including Maria Gadú and Nando Reis. His band has included Vinícius Oliveira on bass, Pedro Martins on drums, and Luísa Maita on keyboards. He released albums in 2017 and 2021.
