Gah Góes formed in São Paulo in 1996 with Fernando Catatau on vocals, Rodrigo Gonçalves on guitar, Fábio Góes on bass, and João Malta on drums. Their debut album 'Nação' came out in 1998, and its single 'O Homem da Multidão' got them noticed nationally.
In 2000, their second album 'Travessão' caused some trouble with conservative groups who objected to the lyrics and video. The band kept making music anyway, putting out albums like 'Farinha do Mesmo Saco' in 2003 and 'Ponto de Fuga' in 2006. Songs like 'reticências' and 'O Piloto e a Arquiteta' show their mix of rock with Brazilian styles.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
