Galinha Pintadinha started in 2006 when Juliano Prado and Marcos Luporini, both fathers, began making simple songs for children. They're from Goiás, and their music caught on quickly with families across Brazil.
One of their songs, "Copa do Mundo da Rússia 2018 - Rumo Ao Hexa," became popular during the 2018 World Cup. Another track parents might recognize is "Pau No Caboclo." The music is straightforward and repetitive, which seems to be part of why young kids like it.
Some people have questioned whether the songs teach children much, but the creators have said they believe even simple melodies can help spark imagination. The project grew from a small idea into something that reached a lot of households.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
