Garcia e João Campeiro started putting out music in the early 2000s. Their debut single 'Pagode dos Treze' became a hit in 2004, which is also the title of their first album. They released a few more records over the next decade, including 'Sobre a Mesa' in 2007 and 'A Vida É Um Soco' in 2010.
Their sound got described as a kind of romantic pagode, mixing Brazilian rhythms with pop. Songs like 'Linda Flor' and 'Arrependida' show that side of their work. They also had a live album from Rio de Janeiro in 2012.
At one point, there were some accusations about the melody of 'Pagode dos Treze' sounding similar to another song. They kept performing after that, and their shows were known for being pretty energetic. They put out another studio album called 'Pra Quê Mais' in 2015.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
