Gardenian formed in Gothenburg in the early 1990s, with guitarists Niklas Engelin and Joachim Rubach at the start. They signed with Nuclear Blast in 1997 and put out their first album, 'Two Feet Stand,' the following year. Songs like 'Long Snap To Zero' and 'Awake Of Abuse' came from that period.
They released several more albums through the early 2000s, including 'Soulburner' and 'Sindustries.' The band went on hiatus around 2004, then reunited in 2012 with some original members. Their 2015 album 'Tethra' followed that return.
