Good people give me your attention,

And a short song I'll sing unto you;

About all our bay bulls fishermen,

And about all the queer things they do.

There's gordon o'driscoll and junior,

They're eatin' their fish and fat pork;

But the man who knows where all the things go,

Is vinnie the boy from new york.

And harry and gannon, their kids;

The rookies don't talk to each other,

Al lives up in irishtown;

Gerard lives away down in placentia bay,

Charles baits the fish, anson baits cod.

There's harry and chris down the harbour,

And kenny and lestony drew;

And gene and ray are startin' their day,

Every morning at quarter past two.

There's gerald and johnny mulcahy,

The odd couple that's what they're called;

Gerald he steers and johnny drinks beers,

There's cyril and tandem mulcahy,

And tom ryan's and kellin's tall tales;

And patty o'dea is stampin' away,

And the tourists are out watching whales.

Some fishermen in our harbour,

Don't fish with a hook nor a line;

The gatheralls and the o'briens.
