Geovani Apaixonado

Geovani Apaixonado started playing guitar and writing songs as a teenager in Santo André, Brazil. He came up listening to samba, bossa nova, and MPB, the kind of music that gives Brazilian singers their particular melodic sense.

His debut album came out in 2010, called 'Amor Desconhecido'. The title track, a ballad about unrequited love, became a hit. It was a straightforward, emotional song that connected with people and put him on the map.

He kept recording after that, putting out albums like 'Meu Primeiro Amor' and 'Ao Vivo em São Paulo'. There was some noise about plagiarism in 2013, which he denied, but he kept working. His music stayed in that romantic, acoustic lane he established early on.
