Archive material and source history
Gèrard formed in Barcelona in the early 1990s, with Joan Colomo on vocals and guitar, Xavi Garcia on bass, and Albert Permanyer on drums. They put out an EP called "Deixa't Anar" in 1994, followed by their first full-length album a year later. That album was titled "Por Tu Culpa," which became their best-known song.
"Por Tu Culpa" connected with listeners in Catalonia in the mid-90s. The band released a few more albums after that, including "Analfabets" in 1997 and "Eros Amor" in 2001. A compilation of unreleased material, "Inedits," came out in 2006.
