Ze kwamen vur de rechters' hof

Mer slechts de rijke kreeg verlof
Die moest 'n eed aflegge
Hij hee toen dalijk "Ja" gezegd
En zwoer al op z'n hart deez' eed:
"'k Zou gene steen verlegge!"
De zaak was daormee uitgemaakt
D'n arme moest toegeve
Hij was nog dieper weggezakt
Moest zijne grond afgeve
De rijke wreef 's in zijn hand
D'n arme schreeuwde om zijn land
