They released albums like "La Negra" in 1988 and "Te Olvidé" in 1992, with songs such as "Segredo" also in their catalog. Their music often touched on social themes, which sometimes led to debates, as with the lyrics of "La Vira."
By the mid-1990s, with albums like "Volveré" in 1995, Gery had built a following in Colombia. Their sound blended traditional rhythms with more contemporary influences, keeping their performances energetic and grounded in local styles.
