Getsexygirl formed in São Paulo in 2004 as a Brazilian electropop trio with Luana Hansen, Leo Marz, and Renato Spinelli. They released their self-titled debut album the following year, which included early singles like 'Deixa Entrar' and 'Codinome Beija-Flor.' Their sound mixed electronic production with pop melodies and lyrics that leaned toward the introspective.
Their second album, 'Longe de Tudo,' came out in 2008 and gave them their biggest hit with the title track. That song reached charts in Brazil and elsewhere, and the album's success brought them wider attention. Spinelli left the group in 2011, and Hansen and Marz continued as a duo, putting out 'Onipresente' in 2015.
Some of their other songs include 'Bad Girl,' 'God Exist,' 'All My Bones,' and 'Breath.' Their music has touched on themes of sexuality, gender, and mental health, which has occasionally drawn criticism from conservative listeners. At one point, their 2010 album 'Vertigo' was pulled from circulation after a legal dispute.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
