From morning to night I stay out of sight

Though I’m afraid I hide my fears

The falling rain it hides my tears

How can I make my mistakes feel right

In my line of work there’s no room for error

One wrong step can end in terror

There’s an eerie silence surrounding me

I’m thinking is she still waiting for me

This life is not for me

Will my blood stained hands ever be clean

I’m wondering is this for me

The blood on my track aren’t helping me

Will she still love me when I return

Or will she leave me for what I’ve done

As night falls there’s a light in the distance

I move in closer, no one there from the resistance
