Gibbler formed in the early 2000s with Anya on vocals, Ethan on guitar, Marcus on bass, and Emily on drums. They released a debut EP called 'In the Shadow of Doubt' before putting out their first full-length album, 'After the Rain.'
The title track from that album, 'After The Rain,' became their most recognizable song. Other tracks from that period include 'Back To Hazlet, I'll Say' and 'Stars & Hearts.'
Anya's lyrics sometimes drew criticism for being too explicit, but she generally stuck to her approach. The band played small gigs while they were getting started.
