Gideon formed in 2005, with Daniel McWhorter on vocals, Tyler Riley and Jake Smelley on guitars, Eric Snodgrass on bass, and Josh Bumstead on drums. They put out their self-titled album in 2012, followed by Calloused in 2014 and Cold World in 2016.
In 2018 they released Out of Control, and in 2021 came No Time to Bleed. Songs like Freedom and No Love/No One have been part of their setlists for years. They've toured with bands like Killswitch Engage and Every Time I Die.
In 2017, allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced against the band. The members denied the accusations, but the incident affected their public image around that time.
