Quando al mattin si sveglia per essere fucilato,
si butta per malato e dice che non può.
Ma il polso glielo attasta il militar dottore e dice:
"il tuo malore son tutte falsità".
Arrivano i soldati in fila e derelitti
e i lor fucili dritti facevano penar.
L'onesto condannato domanda di parlare:
la legge militare gli vieta di tacer.
Il colonnel vestito impugna la sua spada
e dice che si vada con morte a fucilar.
Gli schioppi fan lo sparo, il militar si cade,
