Girls Against Boys formed in Washington, D.C., with Scott McCloud on vocals and guitar, Eli Janney on guitar, Alexis Fleisig on drums, and Earl Maneein on bass. Their sound pulled from post-punk and noise rock, with some electronic textures mixed in. The band's debut album, 'Venus Luxure No. 1 Baby,' came out in 1993.
They followed that with 'Cruise Yourself' in 1994 and 'House of Grist' in 1996. 'House of Grist' included the track 'Park Avenue,' which became one of their better-known songs. Their last album before going on hiatus was 'You Can't Fight It' in 2002.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
