Giuliano Eriston was born Giuliano Máximo de Souza in Rio de Janeiro. He grew up hearing samba and bossa nova at home, and started writing songs when he was about twelve.
In the early 1980s he wrote "Devagar, Meu Bem," which came out in 1984. The song became popular in Brazil and elsewhere. He also recorded other songs like "O Que Cabe Na Mão" and "Barraco na Ribeira."
He made an album called "Giuliano Eriston" in 1984. Later he tried some pop and electronic sounds. There were some claims about plagiarism around "Devagar, Meu Bem," but nothing was ever proved.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
