Giuseppe Salsetta

Giuseppe Salsetta was an Italian singer who grew up in Bari. He sang in local choirs as a young man and listened to singers like Claudio Villa and Domenico Modugno.

In 1969, he released "Per Sempre Tu," which became his best-known song. He recorded several albums in the early 1970s, including "Amore Mio" and "La Mia Terra." He sometimes worked with other Italian singers like Nilla Pizzi and Fausto Cigliano.

Salsetta was known for having strong opinions about social and political matters, which sometimes drew criticism. He performed with musicians including guitarist Vincenzo Minniti, bassist Paolo Alberti, and drummer Mario Barone. He died in 2016.
