Gizelle & Giovany

Gizelle & Giovany are a Brazilian duo from Arapiraca who started performing together in 2015. They met through a shared interest in forró and sertanejo rhythms, which would later shape their sound. Their breakthrough came in 2017 with the release of "Moto Honda Biz," a song that became unexpectedly popular across Brazil.

That track, along with others like "No Embalo do Pancadão," connected with working-class and rural listeners who recognized the everyday scenes in their lyrics. The duo's straightforward approach to songwriting about ordinary life gave their music an immediate, unpolished quality that felt genuine to many fans.

They've continued releasing music since then, putting out albums like "Jeito Mato Grosso" in 2018 and "Abaixa Que É Tiro" the following year. Their work maintains that same direct connection to the experiences of their audience, without much concern for fitting into established musical categories.
