Glass Tiger formed in Canada in the mid-1980s, with Alan Frew on lead vocals and Jim Vallance handling guitars and keyboards. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1986 and included the single 'Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone),' which became their best-known song. The band's lineup also featured Al Connelly on bass and Wayne Parker on drums.
They followed up with albums like 'Diamond Sun' in 1988 and 'Simple Mission' in 1990. Other tracks from their catalog include 'Someday' and 'A Lifetime Of Moments.' Vallance's work as a producer and co-writer for other artists, including Bryan Adams, sometimes drew attention away from the band's own material.
Glass Tiger put out records through the early 1990s, then returned with '31' in 2012. Their music from the 1980s still gets played on Canadian radio, particularly that first big hit.
